Ironbridge Baseball Academy’s 2021 Showcase team competed in the Perfect Game Super 25 Qualifier this past weekend in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is one of the biggest tournaments of the year for the team and Perfect Game. The goal was to earn a bid to play in the Super 25 tournament in Fort Myers, Florida against the other top 24 teams in the country—and they did just that. Led by Head Coach Jackson Lane and Assistant Quaid Anderson scored 43 runs, and the pitching staff had an ERA of just 1.313. Chase Potvin led the offense batting .684 with 13 Hits including his first career Homerun. Potvin was named MVP of the tournament. Lefty Ben Costin was named the MVP Pitcher of the tournament going 6.2 innings and striking out 6 while only allowing 1 run in the semifinal game. John Lucas led the staff with 13 strikeouts while also hitting .320 for the tournament with a HR. IBA 2021 will travel to Fort Myers, Florida July 15-19 to compete for the Super 25 title!
